Since David Neithamer says that "the manuscript has the dotted 16th
notes", I looked in the edition that I mentioned earlier:

The phrases (79-80) begin with a dotted 1/16 followed by a 1/32 and then
the remainder of the phrase in straight 1/16's.

The preceding 1/16 measures (marked "p grazioso" and then
"delicatamente") are all straight 1/16ths.

So the Schirmer edition does agree --- in this detail, at least --- with
David's statement about the autograph.
