Kurt, I changed the subject line. Respond privately;
this is probably not of interest to the world. Yes,
to all your questions. I confirm Bill Gray from my
yearbook, but I don't recall knowing him much. He was
probably quiet, as was I. DiStasio was not quiet or
shy. It was an experience of a lifetime to play under
him. As I remember, in 1965, 22 of us were in the
County Honor Band; the next most successful High
school got something like 7. That was undoubtedly due
to DiStasio's private lessons to all of us.
