Of COURSE I understand that. But not being able to view or use many,
many sites is your "hidden cost" - and a high one at that. I wasn't
kidding - WebTV (used by a minuscule number of people compared to
everything else) is broken, broken, broken. It's not my doing - don't
get mad at me. An XBox has more smarts than WebTV (and people have
hacked that to make a very usable computer). Microsoft could just as
easily set something like that up and used your TV as a display screen.
But they didn't. I don't know why. Heck, you can even run Mac OS-X on an
XBox.
