Might this discussion of composer rating also be an
apt metaphor for the basset horn - a second rate
instrument? Sure there is some great music with
basset horn, but...

As a basset horn lover, I might be compared to the von
Dittersdorf loving bass player: Backofen resides in
the pantheon!
