David, Michelle would sound fabulous if her clarinet were made in
New Jersey. Michelle makes the sound. The fact that she plays on
a German system is, in my view, irrelevant. She sounds that great
when she plays Boehm as did her father before her.

Just thought I'd stir up things that need stirring up.

Quintet

I've just released a new recording of Michele Zukovsky (Principal
Clarinetist Los Angeles Philharmonic) performing the Brahms and
Mozart
Quintets with the St. Petersburg String Quartet. Gorgeous sound -
Brahms on
a German Clarinet, need I say more....

http://cdbaby.com/cd/zukovsky2 is the page which has 2 minute
previews of
all of the movements. Cdbaby is front page featuring the
recording on Monday
so it will probably sell out, but check out the page if you get a
chance and
are inclined to do so if anyone wants a copy before then.
