I just called and spoke with Mr. Hutchinson. (That's
how I remember him.) Thanks, Kurt, for the stories,
and thanks, Marla, for connecting with him. He
enjoyed the recital, and complemented your playing.
(Did I get that right, that it was your Mozart
recital?) He says he is out of practice, but because
of a connection he has recently made, he intends to
play again. He referred to this connection with Nancy
(your friend, right, Marla?) as 'getting this whole
ball rolling'. I believe he is 88, and he enjoys
talking. He and his wife live in Grants Pass, Oregon.
(Sue, if you look him up, say hello again for me.
I'm not entirely sure he remembers me.)

It is a great pleasure to me to talk to my old
teacher. After 40 years of various experiences, it's
good to talk again with him about the value of the
exercises we did; I'm still learning so much.
