Not to argue the point, but Doctor's Product's does sell the humistat, he
also sells a nice small hygrometer that'll fit nicely into a Buffet case; as
well as a very nice oiling rod and a darn good almond oil based bore
treatment with lemon juice added to stave off the nasty fungal, bacterial
and micro-organic growths that can arrise from using straight and untreated
vegitable oils. Check Dr.'s Products out at:
http://www.doctorsprod.com/

The vitamin E additive is a good suggestion too. But I would trust the Dr.
and Doctor's Products above all else. And even Morrie Backun recommends
using Almond Oil treated with (fresh) lemon juice to stave off rancidity as
well as the evil nasties.

Many thanks to those who gave me leads for Sweet Almond Oil, what I am just
going to do is purchase a large (symphony) supply from Dr.'s Products, as I
have more uses for the stuff than just oiling the bores of my wooden
instuments.

All the best,

Rafi
