I don't know what he's drinking, but can I have a pint of it please?

More to the point, some of us might object to being dubbed as part of
the "collective US". Not only are we not all Americans, but most of us
are free thinkers. Of course some of us are both.

Matthew.

I believe the new bass clarinetist with Philly uses Backun products on
his
bass. I myself have noticed a very anti-Backun tenor to this board. I
wonder
why this is. It seems like you use his products or you think no one
should.
and by You I mean the collective US.
I have purchased and tried ( and I mean really tried) products produced
by
other members on this list. When I thought they were good, I would
recommend
that someone try them. If they didn't I never posted anything that said
they
were, no good, or that they sucked. I've seen people pick up equipment
that
I wouldn't care to play and sound awesome on it. So was the equipment
bad?
or did it just not suit my style of playing?

I think it's a shame that my initial post, where I posted something that
was
actual news worthy fact about Morrie Backun heading LeBlanc, was
closed. I
don't understand why actual discussion needs to be censored. Maybe we
need a
list of what things are appropriate to say on this list and what
aren't.
Maybe a complete list of Clarinet "Sacred Cows" needs to be compiled.
I'll
volunteer for that project. But rest assured, if any one decides to
make the "
ultimate" clarinet, no one will pry your r13 from you're cold dead
fingers!
If someone makes it you don't have to buy one, you don't have to
comment on
it, you don't have to do jack****! You can keep playing whatever
mouthpiece,
barrel, bell and vintage R13 you want. No one will care. I will close
with
this, If I go out and buy a pair of $200 air jordans, this white boy
still
won't be able to jump!
