I believe the new bass clarinetist with Philly uses Backun products on his =20
bass. I myself have noticed a very anti-Backun tenor to this board. I wond=
er=20
why this is. It seems like you use his products or you think no one should.=
=20
and by You I mean the collective US.=20
I have purchased and tried ( and I mean really tried) products produced by=20
other members on this list. When I thought they were good, I would recomme=
nd=20
that someone try them. If they didn't I never posted anything that said the=
y=20
were, no good, or that they sucked. I've seen people pick up equipment tha=
t=20
I wouldn't care to play and sound awesome on it. So was the equipment bad?=
=20
or did it just not suit my style of playing? =20
=20
I think it's a shame that my initial post, where I posted something that wa=
s=20
actual news worthy fact about Morrie Backun heading LeBlanc, was closed. I=
=20
don't understand why actual discussion needs to be censored. Maybe we need=
a=20
list of what things are appropriate to say on this list and what aren't. =20
Maybe a complete list of Clarinet =E2=80=9CSacred Cows=E2=80=9D needs to be=
compiled. I'll=20
volunteer for that project. But rest assured, if any one decides to make t=
he =E2=80=9C
ultimate=E2=80=9D clarinet, no one will pry your r13 from you're cold dead=20=
fingers!=20
If someone makes it you don't have to buy one, you don't have to comment on=
=20
it, you don't have to do jack****! You can keep playing whatever mouthpiec=
e,=20
barrel, bell and vintage R13 you want. No one will care. I will close wit=
h=20
this, If I go out and buy a pair of $200 air jordans, this white boy still=20
won't be able to jump!
