I'm going to brag. Our modest Tehachapi Community
Orchestra played the Cosi Fan Tutti Overture last
month. First rehearsal I showed up with my three
clarinets (I bought an inexpensive Amati last year),
and the first and I played together to hear if we
sounded ok with him transposing on his Bb and me on my
C. Even though I was only playing the second part,
and no one else commented on it, I was quite pleased
to be playing the instrument called for.
