One in four classical musicians in large American orchestras use beta

The story is based on data from 1987, and we've discussed it here. See

with informed medical opinion from Diane Karius and expert opinion from
a top player, Greg Smith.

I use a beta blocker for problems unrelated to musical performance, and
=66ind that it eliminates stage fright, which I sometimes have, which has
been strong enough to interfere with performance. On the other hand,
Using it definitely changes my performance, and I lose a little edge. I
sometimes skip the pill on the morning of a performance.

=46or those who use BBs, what's the effect your playing=3F
