This is an untruth. WWBW is a *big* music store - which makes them
relatively small retailer, in the grand scheme of things.

I've bought a pile of horns from them over the years. Usually, I have them
send three - I send two back (or three, if none are to my liking). I have
*never* had a problem with a return. In my experience, Dennis Bamber and
his crew are very ethical and professional - which is why so many people
purchase (even on this list!) resell their products through them.

Occasionally, they have sent me a horn that is a little shop-worn.
(Nowadays they specifically call those "B-stock.") I'm grateful for that -
I have a *superb* Buffet/Keilwerth alto purchased that way. There's a small
solder blemish on the neck that I love, 'cuz it saved me about six hundred
bucks off the already-discounted price.

As I type this, my wife is trying out Loree oboes upstairs - she's got a
squad of Royal AKs from two different mail-order retailers, one of them
WWBW. I can't think of any music store in Seattle that would ever stock
more than one - and it would get terribly shop-worn too.

Try before you buy. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
