I, too, have watched this thread. And, in spite of the fact that I had
decided not to join in the fray, I have to agree with Jim. I have bought
mouthpieces from WWBW--and returned far more than I've purchased. There has
never been a problem. Not too long ago, I had the opportunity to visit
their store where I tried clarinets and mouthpieces all day long. I didn't
feel that any of the instruments that I played that day were any better than
what I already play. Now, obviously those instruments will be returned to
their stock. Does the fact that I test played them make them used?? I
think not. Does the fact that I chose none of them make them bad or
defective instruments in any way?? Absolutely not. And, should I have
chosen to buy one of them then developed buyer's remorse upon returning home
with it, I would have had 45 days in which to return it, no questions asked.
I don't think it gets any more fair than that. Scott Kurtzweil, their
clarinet person, has a MMus from the University of Maryland. He is
extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful. It is a large operation. No
you don't get a custom setup. But, IMHO, it is a good company with which to
deal.

And, just like Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that." :-)

I've sat back and watched this bashing of WWBW and must step in and defend
them. Over many years I've tried, evaluated, and bought many instruments
from them, with great satisfaction. My last set of silver R13s were from
them. They were set up fine from their shop. I played them professionally
for several months, and decided to have them overhauled by Brannen Winds.
The result is a perfect set. My saxes, flutes and other instruments are
from WWBW. I've sent back many horns, with no problems. Shipping was
always prompt, and refunds were quick. What can I say? They are a big, but

good company to deal with. Kudos!!
