Folks,

I never said that I was not going to contact WWBW...ever. Now that I've
heard from Mr. Rossi, I will do so tomorrow, in fact, if for nothing more
yet than to tell them of the problem and that I'm awaiting further direction
from Rossi.

The purpose of my original post was to ask for contact information for Mr.
Rossi so that I could get direction from him on how to proceed because I'd
had no luck with the e-mail link on his Web site. I was not complaining
about WWBW, Rossi, the quality of the instrument, buying via mail order, or
anything else. However, not having any experience with WWBW repair, I wanted
to get direction from Mr. Rossi on this first so that I didn't make a false
step. If Mr. Rossi directs me to have WWBW repair the instrument, then
that's good enough for me, and it's off to South Bend.

I have had only a small problem with WWBW since I started dealing with them.
That was their habit of giving "fake" dates for availability, always two
weeks out. I wrote to them telling them how much I disliked that practice,
and they have since stopped doing that.

I've been happy with WWBW's customer service. Their 45-day return policy is
on instruments great! They've done everything they've ever promised on other
orders that I've needed help with. Their shipping fees are very reasonable.
I have no problem with WWBW!

Finally, I did promise the list that I would let you know what happens with
this, and how it is resolved because the situation is a bit unique: I
ordered a hand-made instrument from a small shop (compared to Buffet,
Leblanc, Selmer) what turns out relatively few instruments per year. Unlike
B., L, and S. instruments, I can't just send the horn back and get another
in a heart beat. I thought that reporting on my experience would be helpful
for others who might be reluctant to buy an instrument of this type from
such a large supplier.

Please! I'm not bashing anyone! I'm following through, too!

Stay tuned.

B.

Since the original poster has not chosen not to even attempt to deal with
