Ted Casher here: I had a glass Pete Fountain mpce that had a great sound
but was too close for my Bb playing.

I tried it on my Noblet C clarinet, and voila! Instant happiness!

However, I play a 62 mm barrel on my Selmer 10G. So I am soon gonna send
the stick to Walter Graebner, to get a short custom Delron barrel for it.

I may be ordering one of his C mpces as well, but I have been addicted to
glass mpces since studying w/Bill Osseck during my Eastman days. Therefore,
I will probably keep the Pete Fountain.

My present glass mpce is a Pomarico Diamond Mello---great on my Bb, bad on
my C. Anybody who wants to hear how it sounds, google onto Eli Newberger's
website and listen to the Jazz Tuber Trio playing "Bei Mir Bist Du Shain."
