I checked with a Belgian friend (Francophone) last night. She was
puzzled by the ai which she didn't recognize as Dutch (Flemish)-more
likely ay, or perhaps there is a bit of German worked in here. She
suggests that the W is a sound which "no American can make," a sort of
guttural huff. She will check with a Belgian friend who is a musician.
