Getting back to the RUATG thing, I just fabricated myself two sanding blocks
out of 2 4" lengths of 3/8" spruce, glued. I cut a 30 degree angle at
opposing ends to replicate the Ridenour model sanding block.

Now the wet/dry grits he uses don't give a grit count, and he does'nt
mention specific grades of grits to use in either the DVD or booklet, but I
have to check to make sure, but other than that what grits other than his
does or has anyone used?

And never fabricated a sanding block before, where does a person go to buy
that foam-like, rubbery material that cushions the grit/sand paper against
the hard surface of the block?

I am still trying to get the hang of his system, and I have found that the
grits he supplies are handy for other projects too, so I have the four I got
with the ATG tied up in other projects and they are wrinkly and not the
smoothness one would want. Also I am thinking good old Duct tape, or even
the stronger masking tape that they seem to be selling these days could be
cut down and used to tape each sheet onto the block. None of this double
stick stuff; just tape one side to the wood and the other to the outter side
of the under sides's sheet of paper, that way there is alway's on side to
adjust and pull tight.

Simple Yankee ingenuity that's all it takes, simple masking or duct take
rather than double side, and grit you can buy at the Depot or Lowes and cut
yourself. How's that fer DIY?

Now to master making those reeds do what Ridenour says they can be made to
do. I say there is more that just some law of physics at foot here, but
more some of that Papist trickery that I as a former Roman Catholic used to
debunk, but as a convert Jew just don't know about anyway, I mean Opus Dei
and EWTN? The "cult" of Mary and the "cult" of the Saints? Whatever
happened to just going directly to the "MAN" (and I mean G-D) Himself? If
G-d is omnipotent that means He is not so busy as not to care about each of
us individually, whether we know, or care to know about it or not.

Shalom,

Rafi
