My C clarinet (Buffet RC Prestige) sounds plenty good...as a matter of fact,
the wind section of the Dallas Opera didn't know I even owned or performed
on a C clarinet for 4 seasons, including the 1st player.... Go figure. It's
even better now that Stephen Fox worked some real magic on it last year. He
plugged and re-drilled a few tone holes, worked on the bore and added a
bottom key joint extension with vent. He did a great job of making a very
good instrument even better.

And you know what...I'd take it to an audition tomorrow.
