I wish I had studied with him earlier than 18 years old! That's awesome that
you knew him when he was still active with BSO. When I finally met him, he'd
been retired from BSO for 5 years. If my parents had been more supportive of
me and been interested in getting me lessons, I may have actually stayed
with music as a career too (though I am back to playing in a great group,
and am very happy now).

I studied with Ramon Kireilis (Colorado) in high school.

How lucky that you studied with Harold Wright and Charles Neidich too. I had
long talks with Harold Wright, because he and Patsy were good friends, and
they used to hang out at Tanglewood together. What a thrill, considering I
was intensely studying the Wright Mozart Concerto.

I sure wish I had gone on to NEC after BCM, but felt that it was more
important to get married at the time. Go figure - I'm now divorced, and I
don't have a music career either! :)

I studied with Pasquale privately from the time I was in the 10th
grade through my first year in college from 1974 through 1978. He
was my main teacher. My first teacher, Frank Martin, had studied
with him at BU and referred me to him once I finished junior high
schoo.

From age 19 on, however,I basically just taught myself, although I
had occasional lessons here and there with different people like
Harold Wright, Karl Leister, Charlie Neidich, Richard Waller and
others.
