I doubt it....it's probably because you are coming from an inexpensive
student line clarinet...

Each clarinet is different....perhaps the one you like I would hate...

Buffet builds one of, if not the top professional line of clarinets in the
world. Most professional players in N. America use Buffet...who have you
been listening to?...
