Hey Mark,

I have a VanDoren M13 mouthpiece because "they" (WWBW and VD) said that the
M-13 was specifically designed to play well with the R-13 and VD Reeds
(which I use) and I just toned it alone no barrel, just reed and mouthpiece
into my chromatic tuner and got a "balanced" B. This suggests to me that I
am giving good air flow, pressure and embouchure.

Next I am going to try one on the Chadash barrels I got also from WWBW a
66mm (a tiny mm longer than the 65mm barrel of the R-13) And I will see how
this works.

But I am going to chime the M-13 with the R-13 Barrel and the Chadash barrel
and see what difference if any there might be.

I also have a Fobes Debut, and a Hite Premier, the Premier seemed loose for
the R-13 barrel maybe because I use it exclusively with my student Vito
model and original barrel that came with the Vito.

But thanks for your advice Mark, I am glad we are on talking and freindly
terms again and I hope you will continue to give me some good and clear
advice on this R-13 matter.

Peace,

Rafi
