Huh? If you've got a decent mouthpiece you might need a $50 barrel.

Very few people spend that kind of money to "tweak" a new clarinet or
spend gobs of money on a barrel or bell or mouthpiece - a few do, the
vast majority don't. At your (apparent) level you sure don't need to
spend that kind of money if the instrument is reasonable - don't be
hoodwinked into thinking you do.
