Hi again, everyone. Sorry for the late response - I was scrambling to
borrow a clarinet (ended up with a LeBlanc Concerto from a friend) for
a band concert I had last night. Clarinetist Julia Heinen performed as
well, and it was very impressive.

Wayne, Geoff, Gary T. and Bill - Thanks for pointing me to Clark Fobes'
superglue trick. I'll be passing that info along to my boyfriend.

Kevin - Actually, I'm the one stealing equipment from him, so it works
in my favor. ;) So far, I've acquired a Chadash barrel and I've
swapped my Gregory Smith mp for a Grabner which I like very much. ;)

Phil - Thanks for the info! Do you think my clarinet would be covered
under any kind of warranty for this kind of damage? I emailed Buffet
and didn't get a response, so I called the U.S. 1-800 number and they
said I have to take it back to the local shop I bought it from, Music
Center of Hawaii, which afaik is *the* main supplier of musical
instruments in Hawaii. Unless I bought it direct from Buffet, they
said they can't do anything about it. :-

Also, I'm a bit worried because the response I got from Brannen
Woodwinds was "I would suggest contacting Buffet as they usually give
you a replacement top joint. This top joint can't be repaired."
