In my freshman year at North Texas, I was practicing in my dorm room (yeah,
I wasn't supposed to.) I set my clarinet on my bed during a break. My room
mate came in the room....and sat on my clarinet (accident), breaking the
middle tenon. Off to repair it went for the replacement of the top key
joint. Intonation was never right between the two joints after that and I
sold the clarinet as a "student" instrument.
