Yup. I've heard of more than a few of these. I've never heard of a tenon
breaking on a "real" clarinet - but from Bill's post, I suppose that happens
too.

. . . in any event, I've never heard of a Greenline cracking, so maybe it's
a case of six of one v. half a dozen of the other. Lots of folks like
Greenlines. Just don't fall down again and you should be fine.

Rocking is a problem, but Clark Fobes' glue solution will help here.

The *real* problem is that you have a boyfriend . . . who plays clarinet.
ARE YOU NUTS? There wasn't a trombone player in the band that was cute
enough? You have to mix pain with agony?

Let's just say the *first* Mrs. Fay is a clarinet player.

PS - The 1st Mrs. Fay is indeed a clarinet player, and a very fine one to
boot. Nice gal, too.

The only real downside to having a clarinetistic beau is that they might
borrow your favorite mouthpiece. (Normally, swapping oral artifacts is
frowned upon, but y'all are doing enough of that already, right?) Forget
getting custody of all th godd CDs - I never did get my Johnston H77 back
after she did her master's recital . . .
