Case in point: My Wiegand-refaced Kasper accommodates V-12s and Legeres,
but definitely not Rue LePics. With RLPs, the tonal spectrum is unbalanced
in favor of the upper end.
My Scotty- refaced Vandoren B-45 and Rue LePics go great together.
A plug for RLPs: Every one plays out-of-the box! I've never had this
experience with any other brand of reed. Granted, there are "tone color"
differences, but response and security seem to be very consistent.
