For me, the most moving moment of the entire opening ceremony was when
that 9-year-old girl sang the Italian national anthem. There she stood,
all alone, on stage at the center of that huge stadium, packed with
people, with a substantial fraction of the world's population watching
on television, and she sang it out tenderly, lyrically, and perfectly clear.

I actually got a lump in my throat.
