You cannot assign individual fonts to individual programs in Windows.
The system simply does not have a mechanism to do that. Want proof?
Try this. Do as you suggest: open your Windows fonts folder in
Explorer, right click on one of the Maestro fonts, and pick properties.
If the "Opens with" program is not Finale, change it to Finale.

Now, do the same thing with Arial or Times New Roman. Notice that the
"Opens with" program for Arial is ALSO set to Finale. When you change
the file association for a true-type font, you change it for ALL
true-type fonts. Windows simply does not track file associations on a
per-file basis, and it does not have the CONCEPT of associating a font
with a program.

Howard, you are talking voodoo and superstition here. What you are
saying is NOT TRUE. I've been writing Windows drivers since 1990. I
know what I am talking about.
