I would suggest that Rien and others suffering the problem described try
the following test: can you find the Maestro fonts with MS Word, and
type a few "sentences" (actually it will look very silly:-) using this font?

Or, more simply, just open the Character Map application and look
through it; you should find the Maestro fonts listed in there.

If you don't, then the OS is not picking up the font. AFAIK the font
has to be registered with the OS, it's not enough to have it simply
present on disk. I'm using Linux these days but from what I remember,
under Windows you go to the Control Panel, there's a Fonts icon, and
within there is an option to add new fonts. So, add them, using the
font files on disk.

As Tim says, *don't* associate the font file with Finale or Encore or
anything else. It's not what is meant to be done and will screw up
other things.
