Are you interested in commission a piece written especially for you?=20
Would you like to provide educational outreach opportunities where your=20=

audiences and students can learn form an experienced composer,=20
performer, author and educator? Are you interested in producing a CD=20
for distribution to the public and for sale to your audiences?

Co-op Press is dedicated to fostering audience appreciation and=20
understanding of "Mainstream Literary Music", which is art music that=20
is based on musical traditions established prior to the mid-20th=20
century. Our grant programs offer you the opportunity to work closely=20
with award-winning composer, Sy Brandon to achieve your goals of=20
reaching out to your audiences to share your enthusiasm for your art.

The Commission Assistance Grant enables performers to have a piece=20
composed especially for them by Sy Brandon in order to generate=20
audience and performer excitement about a world premiere. The=20
Commission Assistance Grant includes a residency where the composer=20
works with the musicians and speaks to the audience. This grant is=20
available to performers (elementary through professional) in the=20
continental United States. Deadlines for application are in April and=20
October of each year.

The Residency Assistance Grant enables performers to have composer Sy=20
Brandon work closely with them on a pre-existing composition of his, to=20=

speak to audiences and instruct in individual and group settings. This=20=

grant is available to performers (elementary through professional) in=20
CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, VT, and WV. Applications=20
are accepted throughout the year.

The Recording Grant enables talented performers to produce a=20
professional quality CD through Emeritus Recordings. The CD will=20
receive commercial distribution through physical and digital retail=20
outlets and promotion through broadcast, advertisement and reviews. The=20=

CD will also be made available to the artists on a consignment basis=20
for sale to their audiences. The CD must include at least one=20
composition of composer, Sy Brandon, and can include a piece written by=20=

him especially for this recording. This grant is available to=20
performers throughout the world and has deadlines for application in=20
April and October of each year.
