Dan is really ticked off because (choose one):

[ ] Rein ruined the joke - an what a truly elaborate one it is!

I don't know which would make me throw props at Dan more. He certainly is
an eminent Mozart scholar, whose life's work (one of them, anyway) should be
deeply respected. That he wrote a fictional account of faking authentic
relics shortly before analyzing some is somewhat unfortunate timing.

OTOH, if this indeed is a hoax, it's a doozy - writing the novel first and
all. Maybe it's an elaborate ploy to increase the $$$ from the movie
rights? I'd buy a lotta pizza for a guy who looked that far ahead . . .
