Popular music is often a soundtrack to our lives. It reminds us of when
we were younger, the people that we have known that may have past, high
school, whatever. Much of the time it doesn't matter how these
musicians perform. It's just good to see them again. There are many
(millions!) that do love the Stones and their music. Maybe it's time to
find out *why* they do. Perhaps you'll understand when Eminem or
whomever is your current favorite pop music performer is, gets on stage
with a walker. Mick's not there there yet (sorry... Jagger for those
who don't know his name). But I heard Saturday Night Live make a joke
about the Stones going back on tour. They followed this announcement
with a picture of the California Raisins. Ouch.

I had a very narrow view of classical music when I was first in
college. When taking music history, I had the feeling that "I'll start
coming to class after the clarinet is invented." There is much
beautiful music composed before Denner's invention. I was just not
mature enough to appreciate.

I'm glad Mark said the Stones were fine with him. Personally, not being
able to see, appreciate, and respect... well, it's enough to "make a
grown man cry."
