Subj: [kl] Cork Grease
Date: Wed, 01 Feb 2006 20:04:23 -0500

I've never had problems with rotting corks (just rotten reeds!), and I
generally put a small amount of grease on at least once a week. Of course I
have some special grease made by a clarinetist/pharmacist friend in the
Phoenix area, which, I think, contains lanolin. E-mail me off-list and I'll
send you her e-mail address. Maybe she can be persuaded into mass
production!

In a pinch, Chapstick works pretty well.......
