After what? 20-25 years?

If folks worry a lot about this cork grease issue...then they should go to a
local dive (SCUBA) shop and buy a small tub of "food grade" silicone grease.
About 3 bucks US. It won't hurt your corks and maybe they will go 30-35
years before needing replacement. There is enough silicone grease in a small
tub to last a lifetime.....lifetime of the clarinet or the player...you
pick.
