Oh really? Here I am, surrounded by a couple of hundred business people in
one of the larger American manufacturing companies, and have it as my
tagline in my business correspondence (I'm in a QA group, where it's
strangely apropos ...). 2 people out of all my contacts knew what it
meant, and both of them remembered it from the Reagan-Gorbachov meetings.
I've had quite a few people questioning what it meant ... so I know that
it's not a well know proverb outside of Russia, and even then, I have no
idea how well known it is _in_ Russia.

Standard business axiom my ass. If it were standard we'd all be a hell of
a lot better off.

I first heard of that saying (english, not russian - who the hell would know
russian???!) from my wife who is a Senior Director for one of the very top
Drug Companies. Maybe with Drugs you have to verify a little bit more
....... ;)
