I never meant anything other than my playing as the reason for
the swooning of the women. The glint in my eyes is nicely
reflected by the gold of the basset horn to be sure, but it has
always been my playing that was responsible for my extraordinary
success with women. I don't mean to brag, but I actually kissed
a girl very briefly in 1957! Hot lips Dan, they called me.

Dan lies in his teeth. I have the twin of Dan's basset horn and
find a
distinct lack of women swooning at my feet. It is Dan's sex

And I take liberties with all those women who have swooned at my
feet!! As I said in an earlier note, that instrumet goes up for
sale next summer, and anyone who buys it also gets to take
liberties with swooned women!!

Steve is well-known to many of us, he has a booth at one or more
of the
clarinet festivals each year, and he used to post here on
Klarinet until
he got too busy with his clarinet business. He builds custom
instruments of high quality, including Dan Leeson's bassett with
the
beautiful wood and gold plated keywork (the mere sight of which
causes
women to swoon at Dan's feet), and Steve is also known for his
reproductions of period instruments. In addition to his musical
skills, Steve is a kind-hearted and sociable person.
