Well this sextet can be found on Klarinet (and while we're there we can
contribute to the donation drive) - music & midi -- under Oliver Seely's

An exhaustive musicological analysis of this leads me to the conclusion
that the horns would be kind of high if played in alt. In the midi file
I think they're played basso, though it's too painful to listen to for
long at least with the midi drivers on this computer.

If Beethoven did specify this, I guess it's among the bits of
information that Kalmus didn't feel like passing on in the edition I
have.

I'd let the horns worry about it but I promised parts for F horns -- not
a big deal since I have Oliver's Finale files. I've told them they
should be able to play the parts for Eb horn by ductaping down the first
valve and the Bb part by doing the same to the thumb valve, but then the
thought of them performing au naturel gave me pause enough so I figured
providing the transpositions would be worthwhile. This way they won't
have any excuse for wrong notes -- well other than the fact that they're
horns.
