I have convinced my department that we need to do something special to
"bathe" our students in Mozart. On Wed. we have an "all department
meeting" (students) where they will be reminded of the details of
Mozart's biography. On thursday and friday, in each of our classes for
majors, each faculty member will take a different piece of Mozart's,
tell them a bit about the piece and why we picked it, and then play it
in its entirety for the class. If all else fails, they will never
forget the birthday, and additionally should have a much better grip on
the style ;-)
