Indeed, the sturgeons are especially grateful you don't insist on being paid
in their offspring. Apropos the pizza-obsession, there is this incredibly
vulgar thing sold in Salzburg called Mozart-balls (sic!), it is sort of a
very nasty praline; how about a Mozart pizza, i.e. a period dish as served
in the families of Italian musicians living in Vienna? I would assume it was
almost, but not quite, exactly unlike an American pizza: much dough, but
very good one, a thin spread of tomato (if that was not too much of a fancy
novelty by then), olive oil and fresh oregano. Are there any ingredients
known that Mozart was supposed to be particularly keen on? Pecchorino di
bassetto?
