Hi Patton,
it's getting ever more difficult to get them. They used to come with old
instruments I bought and over the years. Sometimes you see one on ebay, but
that's a gamble. I suspect a mouthpiece ending up on an online auction is
more likely to be a failure than not. The quality of the old Selmer MPs
seems to vary quite a bit, often people have been fumbling with the lay or
it has distorted by itself, but the internal proportions seem to be rather
uneven as well. I have this incredible antique simple system alto clarinet
on which I use an old Selmer C** that is newer than another, quite old
Selmer (guess late 20s or early 30s, because it came with an instrument that
had obviously not been touched since then), but better (and even better than
my very nice 1950s Chedville!) I am now trying to find one for the Bb (for
playing early Jazz), but haven't found a really good one yet.

Best wishes,
danyel
