Welcome back to the list! I've missed you. And welcome to Virginia, too.

Happy New Year, everyone! Kevin and I plan to stay home and swill an
entire bottle of sparkling cran-apple juice. Last year, we thought we'd
try drinking actual booze, but we forgot. This year, we do want to see if
we can stay awake until midnight. We figure if we can make it past 10
p.m., then Shadow Cat will keep us awake the rest of the time by climbing
all over us and ranting at us to go to bed. I plan to keep myself awake
this evening with the usual New Year's ritual of oiling the wooden
clarinets. Maybe the clarinets will keep Shadow Cat at bay....
