Hi all. Patricia Bandy-Smith here, now living on the Eastern Shore of
Virginia.

I'm finally working! I was hired by a school system here to teach
general music, k-5, and I'm loving it. My colleagues here, music
teachers and otherwise, are the best, and I couldn't ask for a more
supportive principal (who also has a wonderful singing voice!). My
colleague, the band director at the high school, also starts the kids in
fifth grade at my school in band, and my twin sons are....look out
world!...both playing clarinet now. One of the boys gets tips from me
from time to time; the other takes lessons from the band director, who
is a VERY fine clarinettist. His brother & sister have their dance
classes which are going very well.

All in all, I am quite happy here. Worth waiting for, I'd say.
Hopefully, some opportunities to play will arise. I do play for my
students from time to time, and my colleagues & I plan to put together
some trios, also, when we have the time. (I also need to get a few
lessons ;-) now that I can pay for them! *VBEG*)
