Check again: the Shostakovich Symphony #5 in D minor is number 48.
"Amusement" is really the emotion I was going for. This is a strictly
unscientific poll, based on a decidedly non-random sample population. I
would hope no one would take any deep meaning from it. I happen to have
a fascination with numbers and statistics, so I look forward to this
list every year.
It's interesting to me that four of the top 10 (and 3 of the top 5) are
Beethoven symphonies (#5, #6, #7, #9).
