Absolutely diabolical - I'll have to try it.

...

You ask the cat, "Would you like to hear some clarinet?" The cat instantly
recognizes these words, utters language that would be explicitly
scatalogical if translated into any human tongue and marches out of the
room with her tail lashing.

You tease the cat by saying, "Would you like to hear...?" She glares at
you, flattens her ears, hunches her hindquarters slightly in preparation
for jumping down from your lap, waits, sees that you're not really planning
to go do...anything, this time, and settles back down again with an
irritated-sounding "Mmrrff!"

She flattens her ears if you say "Reeds" or "Mozart."

To pay her back for waking you up by walking across your face, you say, "Is
it time to feed the cat? -- or is it time to play the clarinet?"

"Musical people are so absurdly unreasonable. They always want one to be
perfectly dumb at the very moment when one is longing to be absolutely
deaf."
