I had fairly good results copying an MD onto the computer by converting to
WAV format and then burning to CD.

I have a Sharp MD. Don't use it all that often but never did have a
corrupted file yet... The tone is very clear and seems to be quite true
sounding, considering I use a tiny little Sony stereo micro.
