Time came to make yet another order from Woodwind . . . needed mouthpiece
patches, plus some Blayman pegs for oboe and English horn for the spousal
unit (replacing the ones she left at a gig . . . but the effect of oxygen
debt on oboe players is a different string).

Since I was at the website, I ordered up a new alto saxophone mouthpiece to
try. Back in the day I played a bit on a Meyer 5M; worked OK at the time.
Recent Meyers that I have played way too bright.

WW&BW had a *large* bore 6 in stock, so I ordered it to try.

Bottom line - don't like. While the bore is nice and round, the baffle
still too high, and the sound "thin" - not "too bright" (sorry Dan), but
lacking.

The MP that I've found most useful for "commercial" work is still the
Brilhart 5*, which can be had for less than $40. Call me a cheap date.

For concert work, I use a Rascher - which I don't think one can get any
more.

Anyone else have a suggestion or two?
