A case of YMMV I think.
I've played a fair amount of saxophone, so perhaps am not a typical specimen
- but I find the soprano the easiest to play.
I suspect that it's because a play a lot of Eb; I've posted before my
observation/opinion that soprano saxophone embouchure is most similar to the
little hellion.
