You won't be able to very feasibly do this with a MD player. The MD can only
do 1 track at a time (well, technically 2, L&R of a stereo track). You need
to be able to have the previous tracks playing back while you record to a
new one. For this you'll need either some sort of dedicated multitrack
recording machine (of which there are numerous on the market now), or
computer software with a good sound card and mic. Necessary software could
include Pro Tools, Cubase, Sonar, Adobe Audition, Digital Performer (mac
only), Logic... basically something that can handle full duplex (record and
playback at same time) multitracking capablilities. For a good sound card,
there are many options depending on your needs.
