Aside from use as a jazz solo instrument, soprano sax is used most
prominently in the SATB sax quartet, and it is found in some older band
music. (I was transcribing a march that was written in 1922 and it had a
soprano part which I rewrote as a first alto sax part.) I believe it is
also found in some musical theatre books.

I always wanted one, almost bought one (Selmer Mark VI) in Hong Kong in
1973, but now will probably never get one. After all I need a bass
clarinet and maybe a basset horn much more.
