Why does top posting carry such stigma? It's far more convenient to
those who are not on a digest.

What is the essential difference between an email at work and an email
as part of a mailing list?

I really cannot understand.

The trimming bit I understand of course. But only necessary in a digest
format.

Top posting is considered gauche in mailing list etiquette; however, top

posting is common in business emails.

Trimming is just plain courtesy to the readers.

Personally, I don't make a big stink about it - I just run the machinery

for you.
